1. Information we collect

Information you provide

We may collect information you voluntarily provide when you contact us or schedule a conversation, including your name, business email address, telephone number, company or firm name, job title or professional role, meeting preferences, and information included in your communications.

Please do not submit financial records, account credentials, government identifiers, payment card information, or other sensitive information through general website communications or scheduling forms.

Website analytics information

We may collect limited technical and engagement information, including:

• page URL, path, title, views, and exits;
• referral source, referral domain, and campaign parameters;
• browser, device type, operating system, language, and time zone;
• viewport and screen dimensions;
• anonymous session identifiers, session date, time, and approximate duration;
• calls-to-action, navigation, and product links selected;
• systems selected and configurations activated in the interactive integration experience; and
• interactions with scheduling links.

Our current analytics configuration is designed to minimize collection. We do not enable session recording, heatmaps, automatic capture of general clicks or form entries, or individual person profiles. We instruct our analytics provider to discard client IP address data from analytics events. Hosting, security, and network providers may still temporarily process IP addresses and request information as necessary to deliver and protect the website.

2. How we use information

We may use information to:

• operate, maintain, secure, and improve our websites;
• respond to inquiries, schedule meetings, and provide requested information;
• understand which pages, products, integrations, and calls-to-action are most relevant;
• measure website performance and marketing attribution;
• prevent misuse, security incidents, and technical problems;
• comply with legal obligations; and
• send marketing communications when permitted by law, with an option to unsubscribe.

3. Analytics and browser storage

We use PostHog Cloud in the United States to measure website activity and selected interactions. Our implementation uses browser session storage to maintain an anonymous session during a visit. Session storage is generally cleared according to browser behavior when the relevant session or tab ends.

Our current implementation does not use session recordings, heatmaps, automatic interaction capture, individual person profiles, or targeted advertising. We do not use website analytics to build advertising profiles about identified individuals.

Website analytics events collected through PostHog are retained for up to two months and are then deleted or made unavailable according to the provider's configured retention controls. You may use browser controls to clear website storage.

4. Scheduling and external services

If you schedule a conversation, you may be directed to Calendly. Information submitted through Calendly is also governed by Calendly's privacy policy and terms.

We may use service providers for website hosting, analytics, security, communications, and scheduling. These providers may process limited information only to provide their services to us and subject to applicable contractual obligations.

5. How we disclose information

We may disclose information to providers that operate and support our websites; to professional advisers and legal representatives; when required by law or valid legal process; when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, systems, visitors, or the public; in connection with a business transaction; or with your direction or consent.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use website analytics for targeted advertising.

6. Data retention

Website analytics events are retained for up to two months. Contact and scheduling information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to a request, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect our rights.

7. Data security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission, storage, or security is completely risk-free, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Privacy rights and choices

Depending on your location and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; object to or restrict certain processing; and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling where applicable.

DatabyteiQ does not currently sell personal information or use personal information for targeted advertising. To submit a privacy request or ask us to disable website analytics for your browser, contact contact@databyteiq.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

9. International visitors

DatabyteiQ is based in the United States, and website information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate. These locations may have privacy laws different from those in your jurisdiction.

If we actively offer services in a jurisdiction that requires additional notices or consent for website analytics, we will implement the appropriate controls before directing our activities to that jurisdiction.

10. Children

Our websites are designed for businesses and professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our websites. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

11. Third-party links

Our websites may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for those practices.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our websites, technology, legal requirements, or business practices. We will update the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required by law.
